Evangeline Lilly was born on August 3, 1979 in Alberta, Canada. She was discovered on the streets of Kelowna, British Columbia by the famous Ford modeling agency.

She landed several roles in commercials and non-speaking parts in Smallville and Kingdom Hospital, and in the films Freddy vs. Jason and The Lizzie McGuire Movie.

She is best-known for her role as Kate Austen on ABC’s Lost, for which she won numerous Saturn Awards and Teen Choice Awards, as well as a Golden Globe nomination.
