Brooke Burke-Charvet was born on September 8, 1971 in Hatford, Connecticut, USA. She began her television career hosting Wild On! on the E! network. She then hosted the CBS summer reality program, The Rock Star.

She gained further recognition when she competed and won in the seventh season of Dancing with the Stars along with her partner Derek Hough. She also started co-hosting the show, replacing Samantha Harris.

She went on to host NBC’s pre-show for the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards and the third season of the TV Land modeling competition series She’s Got the Look.
